N doodle from about a year ago. I made it a rule for myself then for every N drawing I make, I also have to make a silly doodle to accompany it.

What is y'all opinion on this last Jerma stream? I think it was unnecessary for him to kill those guys. At least it was a quick death compared to the rest of Jerma’s victims i guess

For a pokemon game, it was unique for having an elaborate story; it took the narrative seriously, challenged various ethical questions and introduced a handful of memorable and well-written characters, such as N. The game challenged the player’s opinions on the ethics of pokemon and always hammered on the ideas of parallalism; black and white, future and past, people and pokémon, truth and ideals and etc. The games were so good, they received their own follow-up sequels in the form of BW2, which took the story to another level. Generations later, we haven’t seen a pokemon game that took its narrative that seriously.

It was also a soft reset, in that it was the first region not based on Japan, had no returning pokemon (till post game), and the regional Pokedex was built from the ground up adding 150+ new Pokemon. It was a HUGE game both in itself and what it added to the franchise.

For many players, new or old, it felt like playing Red & Green for the first time. You had a whole new region and Pokedex to learn about. Because it was built from the ground up the devs were able to take everything they’d learned from previous generations and deliver something bigger than ever before.

It was also the first “online” game. While the Dreamworld was hit or miss, the event distribution became truly open for the first time. You got a Victini event right off the bat and there were dozens of legendary events throughout the game.

Black & White absolutely deserves the hype.
